Built in 1948 on the five screw K-frame this scarce M&P has a 2" barrel and square-butt checkered walnut sharp-shoulder diamond magna grips. Note the half-moon front sight which was only used until about 1952. The gun comes in the original gold picture box with the protective paper wrap.
The gun retains most of the original blue finish with some very faint and minor scattered aging which is mostly on the grip straps. The matching numbered magna grips are super crisp and sharp! Overall, a great example of a scarce M&P variation from the late 1940's that would be tough to improve upon.
