PLEASE READ ENTIRE AD: WILL ONLY SELL TO TEXAS RESIDENT WITH LICENSE TO CARRY (LTC). Selling my two SKS rifles that I've had for several years. Time to let them go. The one with the factory wood stock is a Chinese Norinco, the other one with the dark green stock is a Romanian. As far as I can tell, the Norinco has not had many rounds put through it, if any at all judging from the lack of wear on the magazine and feed ramps. I bought it used many years ago, so I don't know the history of the rifle beforehand. It just looks like it has had very little wear and tear. Other than that, it is factory original.
The Romanian, that's a different story. It was very rough when I bought it, so I had to completely restore it. That one I have taken to the range after putting all the work into it, and it runs like a freight train. I had Murray's Gunsmithing in Bowie do the firing pin job on the bolt. He also cut the barrel down to 17 inches (still legal rifle length) and he threaded it for a muzzle device, and then had it all Cerakoted. A previous owner had severely damaged the original front sight and bayonet lug beyond saving, and that's why I had the barrel cut down. I then installed a clamp on front sight from True Shot and a rear sight at the back of the receiver from Techsight. The original wood stock was long gone. It had been replaced with a bubba Dragonuv stock, and was ugly as sin. The stock that's on it now came from Choate, and I have an extra one in dark tan (not pictured).
Also throwing in all my steel case ammo along with some stripper clips. Will sell everything together for $1600 cash. I don't really want to go to the trouble of selling it off a piece at a time. Price is negotiable within reason, but there's no need to give any of this away.
The only trade I'll consider is for a Ruger mini-30 model 5803. That's the newer one with the blued heavier 18 inch barrel and Walnut stock. Don't need or want the tactical version. And to be clear, I'll trade all of this for the mini-30.
Contact is through Texas Gun Trader email relay. We'll exchange contact info and arrange to meet somewhere (mornings only, not available evenings) so I can verify your LTC, then we can conduct business at my residence once that's been verified and I'm comfortable that you are safe to deal with and legal to own a firearm.
Thanks for looking!
