Ithaca Model 37 Featherlight 20ga Shotgun in great condition. Modified Choke
Here's a little about this model:
The Ithaca Model 37 Featherlight is one of the most iconic pump-action shotguns in American history. Patented by John Browning, its claim to fame is its incredibly lightweight design (weighing just 5.5 to 6.5 lbs depending on the gauge) and its ambidextrous bottom-ejection port, which also serves as the loading port.
Key Features: Bottom Ejection/Loading: Spent shells drop straight down at the shooter's feet, making it naturally ambidextrous and keeping debris from falling into the action.
Lightweight Profile: Achieved by clever internal machining that eliminated the need for a side ejection port, maintaining a rigid and streamlined receiver.
"Slam Fire": Vintage Model 37s do not have a trigger disconnector. This allows users to hold the trigger down and continually rack the slide to fire shells as fast as the action cycles.
Engravings: Classic models feature distinctive roll-engraved hunting scenes (like pointing dogs and flying waterfowl) on the receiver.
Capacity: Typically 5 shots (4 in the magazine, 1 in the chamber).Barrel Lengths: Standard field models range from 26 to 28 inches, though various shorter riot/police configurations were produced.
